Children and Youth ProgramsWeekly classes for all children. During the academic year, dedicated, experienced teachers offer creative lessons for younger children that use Godly Play, a teaching method and philosophy that combines Montessori with the Biblical stories. Older children explore the Bible and their faith through the We Believe curriculum. Both Godly Play and We Believe encourage children to engage the biblical story on their own terms through drama, art, prayer, worship and music.
Weekly Service Participation: Children begin each Sunday in church for the opening of worship, and after singing a song, they leave church and go to the Sunday School chapel for a brief devotional time. Youth may participate in the Sunday service as acolytes. Music MinistryMusic is a vital and growing part of Trinity’s worship life, as we seek a closer relationship with God and neighbor by lifting our voices in praise. Hymns and service music are drawn from The Hymnal 1982, as well as current supplemental materials. The Senior Choir, rehearsing Thursday evenings, provides anthems in the Anglican tradition and contemporary selections on Sundays during the academic year as well as an occasional Choral Evensong. The Bell Choir, composed of 12 to 14 adults, rehearses on Monday evenings throughout the academic year and plays seasonally at Christmas and Easter and Trinity Sunday. From time to time Trinity enjoys and is blessed with its own and guest voice soloists and musicians of trombone, violin, guitar and other fare. Two to three times a year the Sunday School and Nursery share in the church worship with pageant, musical fun and joy at worship under the direction of Jr. Choir Director, Cathy LaBerge and her friends. Food of Faith Food of Faith at Trinity provides a nutritious meal every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for anyone who needs one. A number of churches and groups take turns providing and serving the meal. Approximately 130 meals are served each Sunday. If you would like more information go to our Food of Faith page. |
